The GDI-DE presents itself at INTERGEO 2014 in Berlin within the scope of a joint stand with a total of six partners from the federal, state and municipal authorities and the science sector.

Visitors are informed about the issues Geodata Infrastructure, Standardisation and  Implementation of the European INSPRE Directive in Germany by employees of our this year's partners coming from the GDI Baden-Württemberg, the GDI Hessen and the GDI Sachsen, from the geoinformation network GeoNet.MRN/Metropolregion Rhein-Neckar (Rhine-Neckar Metropolitan Region) as well as from the GDI-DE's Special Interest Group 3D (SIG 3D).

Of course, our colleagues of the Bundesamt für Kartographie und Geodäsie (GDI-DE operation) and of the Koordinierungsstelle (Kst.) GDI-DE (Coordination Centre GDI-DE) do also present you on site the GDI-DE's central components:

  • (geo data catalog -DE) – through this service the GDI-DE partners  publish their metadata at a central place.
  • GDI-DE Testsuite (GDI-DE test suite) – this application serves for conformity testing of geodata services.
  • – the web portal for the query, linkage and visualisation of geodata throughout Germany.

A further new central component is presented to the public for the first time during the fair:

On Wednesday,  08.10.2014 |at 11:00 a. m. activation of the GDI-DE Registry is effected!

The GDI-DE Registry is used for the central administration of globally coordinated contents for:

  • Code lists
  • Namespaces
  • Organisations

The highlight is the monitoring register serving the significant simplification of the INSPIRE monitoring process. The contents are maintained and published by means of an interactive web application.

Allow youself to be conviced by the GDI-DE Registry at our stand!

The Geodata Infrastructure in Germany (GDI-DE) constitutes a joint effort by federal, state and local authorities.  The aim is to create a network of geodata across all Federal States and governmental branches to ensure that administrative authorities, businesses and political bodies alike make increased use of geoinformation in decision-making processes in the future.

Please visit us in Berlin from 7 to 9 Oktober 2014 and receive first-hand information directly from our experts.
